 Airbags are used to obtain a pneumatic pressure hold on cargo that prevents load shifting. An ancillary benefit of airbags is void fill, but it is this load restraint capacity, which determines the value of airbags in most applications. When correctly applied, airbags provide load restraint and shock absorption when loads are impacted.
